MADAMES ON FIRE
The good old days! The wood that is used for Madame Patina mostly comes from a time when movies were captured on celluloid in black and white. Josephine Baker, Marlene, Monroe and many other female stars stood for the right to self-determination, zest for life and exuberance. However, they were not only sex symbols, but the female ambassadors of a lifestyle that considered success to be more than the overly moralistic post-war attitude of meeting basic needs. Madame Patina sees herself as part of this tradition and this is demonstrated in her products. The photo series "Madames on fire" is homage to the black-and-white divas and the sophisticated spirit of their time.
